City Slickers

City Slickers - The city of heroes ( Original title: City Slickers ) is an American comedy film from the year 1991 was directed by Ron Underwood, the screenplay by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel.. The main role was played by Billy Crystal.

Action

Mitch Robbins is a frustrated employee of a radio station, he sold the transmission time for advertising. When he shall tell in his son's school from his work, calls his son ashamed that his father was the captain of a submarine. During his birthday celebration Mitch hears from his friends, to whom in a supermarket employed Phil Berquist heard that they want to spend their holiday so a few days to play cowboys and drive a herd of cows. The critic Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun- Times newspaper on 7 June 1991 that the film surprised him because he was more demanding than he had expected. He described the film as an ironic version of Red River with John Wayne.

The lexicon of international film wrote that the film is " too verbose " and maneuvers and " the absurd situation comedy less than expected, but the more intrusive " life coaching " ". He offers " a moderate total pleasure ."
