Civil law (common law)

As relativity of legal terms is referred to in legal studies the dependence of the terms from the field of law or law in which they are used. Even within a legal order terms may have different meanings when terms in various laws are legally defined differently, the objective of the relevant laws differs or shift the meanings by different legal training.

Examples

  • The term refers to property in the Civil Code only tangible property, in the GG on the other hand, both tangible property and intellectual property.
