The Crucifix

The wooden crucifix of the church was newly restored recently. It probably comes from a carpenter from the 15th century. This crucifix a legend is connected, of which there are two versions. The legend says that hunters from Civitella found the cross in a forest. They wanted it to evening leave at the site, and then bring it into their church. When they came back in the evening to pick up the cross, it was gone. The cross was placed in the Church of Paganico. This resulted in a second group of hunters done, who decided to cancel their hunt. From here there are two versions of the legend. One states that the hunters of Civitella took the crucifix after a few quarrels and took to their church. However, when she came to church in the morning, you could not find it anywhere. It is miraculously returned to the Church of Paganico. The second version says that after the dispute had ended, they decided to put the matter in God's hands. They laid the crucifix on a cart, which was attached to two oxen. The oxen were free to move, and after a long, aimless running about the animals they came to the church of Paganico to a halt. From then on, the crucifix in the church of Paganico.
