Cixi City

Cixi (慈溪 市, Cixi Shì ) is a county-level city, which belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city of Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, the People's Republic of China. Cixi went through the Battle of Cixi in 1862 between the Imperial forces of the Qing Dynasty and the Taiping rebels in history. Cixi has an area of ​​1154 km ² and about 1.0154 million inhabitants ( end of 2005).
