Cizhou ware

Cizhou yao (Chinese磁州窑, Pinyin Cizhou Yao, English Cizhou Kiln, Cizhou Kiln ') is the technical term for the former place called Cizhou the prefecture-level city of Handan in the south of Hebei province located kilns from the time since the Song Dynasty.

Famous works are the ceramic head restraints from the Song, Jurchens and Mongols - time, including the famous porcelain headrest with the decor of an angel Youths ( Cizhou Yao Diaoyu Zhen磁州窑 钓鱼 枕) from the time of the Song Dynasty and the vase with black floral decoration on a white background ( Cizhou Yao báidìhēihuā Ciping磁州窑 白地 黑 花 瓷瓶) from the same period, with bai di hei hua ( báidìhēihuā白地 黑 花) is a technical term for a type of glaze, in minerals such as iron and manganese as ingredients for material can be used to draw black flowers pattern on the white porcelain body.

The site of Cizhou Kiln ( Cizhou yao Yizhi磁州窑 遗址) is since 1996 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 4-44 ).
