CKBW-FM

CKBW is a Adult Contemporary radio station from Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada. The station is operated by Acadia Broadcasting. In addition to the station in Bridgwater there are subsidiary station in Liverpool ( 94.5FM ) and Shelburne ( 93.1FM ), Nova Scotia the program of the main transmitter radiate. The program is also fed to the digital cable TV network as well as to the Internet.

History

CKBW began to broadcast on 24 December 1947 as a local local stations. As 1952 Donald Sutherland, his high school in Bridgewater ended, he worked part-time default at the transmitter before he moved to Toronto to study at the University of Sciences spectacle.

In 2001 the move to FM and on the frequency 98.1 MHz. The format often changed the years. During the nineties, the greatest part country music was played until it was officially changed in 2001 to today's Adult Contemporary format.
