CKBY -FM ( Y101 - Today's Best Country ) is a private radio station in Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada, 101.1 broadcasts mainly current country music charts on the FM frequency with 100 KW. The sender therefore supplies Ottawa and the Surrounding cities. In addition, the broadcast program is broadcast over the digital network in the broadband cable TV or via the Internet. The analog program is thus broadcast in Smith Falls and Ottawa. The transmitter is operated since 1999 by Rogers Media.


In 1969 the creation and consumption of the transmitter originally broadcast under the name cjet - FM. In early 1970, the call sign was changed to CKUE. In 1984 the acquisition of the sender by CHEZ -FM Inc. In 1999, Rogers Media stations all stations of the CHEZ - Group. On 9 January 2004 Rogers Media changed the format of the transmitting station and renamed it into CKBY Y101 FM. Since June 28, 2013 by 15 clock of the transmitter was fitted with a new brand name and is called since Country 101.1 FM. The transmission format has been retained.


In addition to hourly news broadcasts current events further weather and traffic messages are sent.
