Claes-Ingvar Lagerkvist

Claes -Ingvar Lagerkvist Oskar ( born November 17 1944) is a Swedish astronomer and professor of astronomy at Uppsala University.

He discovered three periodic comet P/1996 R2 ( Lagerkvist ), C/1996 R3 and P/1997 T3 ( Lagerkvist - Carsenty ). He discovered more than 130 asteroids, including the Trojan ( 37732 ) 1996 TY68. The February 11, discovered in 1983 by E. Bowell asteroid ( 2875 ) Lagerkvist was named in his honor.

Lagerkvist was from 1999 to 2007 director of the observatory Kvistaberg.
