Claire McCaskill

Claire McCaskill ( born July 24, 1953 in Rolla, Missouri ) is an American politician (Democratic Party). From 1999 to 2006 she was the State Auditor (State Auditor ) of the U.S. state of Missouri. On 7 November 2006 she was elected a member of the Senate of the United States, to which it belongs since 3 January 2007. In the Senate elections in 2012 she was re-elected.

Life

Childhood and youth

Claire McCaskill initially grew near the city of Houston, and later in Lebanon and finally to Columbia. She attended David H. Hickman High School in Columbia. Her father William was an inspector for the insurance sector. Her mother Betty Anne was the first woman who was elected to the City Council of Columbia, and competed in the elections to the U.S. House of Representatives. Profession
