Clamor Heinrich Abel

Clamor Heinrich Abel (also: Henry Abell, * 1634 in Burg Hünnefeld in Bad Essen / Westphalia, † July 25, 1696 in Bremen ) was a German organist, viol player, composer and violinist.

Family

Clamor Heinrich Abel was the son of the middle of the Thirty Years' War from 1637 to 1641 playing music in the Hanoverian Court Orchestra Ernst Abel ( l ) and a member of the 17th and 18th century in northern and central Germany famous musical family: He is the father of the viola da gamba player and violinist Christian Ferdinand Abel and grandfather of the viola da gamba virtuoso and composer Carl Friedrich Abel and Leopold August Abel.

1685 married Abel Magdalene Herbof.

Career

Clamor Heinrich Abel ( l) can be detected from 1662 to 1664 as a court musician in Celle as an organist.

1665-1685 worked Abel in Hanover ducal chamber musician.

After Abel " after 1685 probable in Celle again " worked, he played from 1694 as " Obermusicus " in Bremen.
