Clara Sanchez (cyclist)

Clara Sanchez ( born September 20, 1983 in Martigues ) is a French track bike rider. She is two-time world champion in keirin.

In 2001, Clara Sanchez finished at the European Championships in Fiorenzuola d' Arda first place in the Junior Women Sprint; In 2004 she became European champion in keirin. 14 times it has now been French champion in the sprint and 500m time trial.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing she finished fifth in the sprint.

2002, at the UCI Track World Championships in Copenhagen, she was vice-world champion in keirin; which was followed in 2004 in Melbourne and 2005 in Los Angeles, the World Cup. In the UCI Track World Championships 2009 in Pruszków she was again vice-world champion in this discipline. At the European Championships in 2010, she won the title in the team sprint together with Sandie Clair. In the 2010/2011 season, she won the overall ranking of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup in the keirin. In the UCI Track World Championships 2011 in Apeldoorn, she won bronze in the keirin.
