Clare Douglas

Clare Douglas is a British film editor.

Life

Douglas studied English and Drama at Bristol University.

Douglas began working as a film editor in the film industry at the beginning of the 1970s. Until the 2000s into it was almost invariably worked for various television productions, including several mini-series and TV movies.

For her work on Bloody Sunday in 2003 she was nominated for the BAFTA TV Award. In 1980 and 1983 she was nominated for this award, in 2004 there was a further nomination.

Their greatest success and best-known film is Flight 93 from the year 2006. For this film, she was nominated along with their colleagues Richard Pearson and Christopher Rouse for the Oscar in the category Best Editing. In addition, they were awarded the BAFTA Award for Best Editing and received an Online Film Critics Society Award.
