Clarence 13X

Clarence 13X, born Clarence Smith ( born February 22, 1928 in Danville, Virginia, † 1969), was the founder of the Nation of Gods and Earths and is referred to by its members as "Allah".

After serving in the Korean War, Clarence joined the Nation of Islam, who had also joined his wife before. He was a member of Temple Number 7 in Harlem, New York, where Malcolm X was a preacher. The " 13X " in its name indicates this is that he was the 13th person named Clarence, who joined this temple. He was known for his martial arts and his eloquence, which meant that he was a member of the Fruit of Islam and a preacher students. At the same time he began the teaching of the Nation of Islam and its leader, Wallace Fard Muhammad, to question.

This meant that Clarence the Nation of Islam was referenced and changed its name in 1963 in Allah. He started his own view of the teachings of the NOI in the streets of Harlem and later to preach to other cities. He quickly won his way through to preach more supporters in the young dark-skinned population.

Clarence 13X was assassinated in Harlem in 1969. As a result of his murder, which remains unsolved to this day, remains disappeared any hierarchy within the Five Percenters ( alternative name of the "Church of Gods and Earths " ), but his doctrine was spread by his early disciples.
