Clarence Saunders (athlete)

Clarence Saunders ( Clarence Nicholas "Nick" Saunders, born September 14, 1963 at Paget Parish ) is a retired high jumper from Bermuda.

In 1982 he won at the Commonwealth Games in Brisbane Bronze. At the World Athletics Championships 1983 in Helsinki and at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he was eliminated in the qualifying. In each case, he was fifth in the World Cup 1987 in Rome and at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.

He celebrated his biggest success in 1990 with the victory at the Commonwealth Games in Auckland.

More medals at international sporting events he won at the Central American and Caribbean Championships ( silver in 1981 and 1983, Bronze 1985, Gold 1987), at the Central American and Caribbean Games (Bronze 1982) and at the Universiade (Bronze 1983).
