Clarence Shaw

Clarence Eugene Shaw ( born June 16, 1926 in Detroit, † August 17, 1973 ) was an American jazz trumpeter.

Shaw first played with Lester Young in Detroit before he went to New York City. He worked with Charles Mingus and is on several boards of this (including Tijuana Moods, East Coasting ) and Shafi Hadi heard. After a dispute with Charles Mingus during the recording of A Modern Jazz Symposium of Music and Poetry - Shaw was ill for recording date of the title " Nouroog " and Mingus berated him for his absence - Shaw was initially a music entirely on, dabbled in ceramics and silversmith and also studied hypnosis. He then went to Chicago, where he remained until the mid-1960s on was least active on the scene under the name Gene Shaw 1962 and grossed albums as a leader.
