Clark is a township in Union County, New Jersey, United States. In the 2000 census, a total population of 14,597 was registered. Clark was formed in 1864 from Rahway.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.6 km ², of which 11.2 km ² of land and 0.4 km ² ( 3.12% ) is water.

According to the census of 2000, there are 14,597 people, 5,637 households, and 4,126 families residing in the city. The population density is 1298.6 persons per km ². 95.61 % of the population are White, 0.30 % African American, 0.01 % Native American, 2.75 % Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.63 % from other races, and 0.69% mixed race. 3.67% are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
