Clarke Abel

Clarke Abel ( born September 5, 1789 in Bungay, Suffolk, England; † November 24, 1826 in Cawnpore, India) was a British physician, naturalist and botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " C.Abel ".

Clarke Abel is known for the publication of the book Narrative of a Journey into the interior of China, and of a voyage to and from this country (London 1818), which he on a trip with William Pitt Amherst, Earl of Arracan ( 1773-1857 ) to Beijing wrote.
