Clarke MacArthur

Clarke MacArthur ( born April 6, 1985 in Lloydminster, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays as a center for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League since July 2013.

Career

As a junior MacArthur played three years for the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League. He was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 by the Sabres in the third round to 74th place. Clarke gave in the Playoffs 2004/ 05 made ​​his professional debut at the Sabres farm team, the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League. In his first full season in Rochester 2005/ 06 he went to 69 games on the ice and scored a total of 53 points scorer.

On 19 December 2006 he was appointed to the NHL squad of Sabres and made ​​his NHL debut against the Montreal Canadiens. In March 2010 he was discharged for two draft picks to the Atlanta Thrashers. In August 2010, he signed as a free agent a limited one-year contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. After Chris Stewart and Wayne Simmonds had left the Eispiraten Crimmitschau, MacArthur was signed by the club from the second ice hockey league as a substitute.

In July 2013 MacArthur signed a two -year contract with the Ottawa Senators.

Internationally

Clarke MacArthur represented his country at the U20 World Cup in 2005 in Grand Forks, United States, in which he scored four goals.
