Claude Longchamp

Claude Longchamp ( born March 14, 1957 in Fribourg ) is a Swiss historian and political scientist.

Longchamp has focused on the analysis of direct democracy, mainly due to the behavior of citizens in decisions on the merits, on the social and political influences on public opinion, as well as the mass media communication in politics. To this end, he has developed the " planning approach ", which analyzes the interaction between predispositions and information for decisions on the merits.

Among the fields of Longchamp include besides the Electoral voting research, the Swiss policy, European policy, especially health policy, financial, environmental and technology policy, the political culture of anti-Semitism, public opinion, political communication, public opinion research and of lobbying.
