Life

Claudia Marcella Minor ( = the Younger ) received in modern literature the epithet Minor, to distinguish them from their eponymous older sister Claudia Marcella Maior can. Both were daughters of Gaius Claudius Marcellus and Octavia Minor, the sister of Emperor Augustus.

Claudia Marcella Minor, who was born after her father's death, possibly first went a marriage with a Ignotus. Numerous inscriptions of slaves and freedmen of Claudia Marcella are preserved in a tomb near Rome.
