Claudia Strobl

Claudia Strobl ( * November 4, 1965 in Afritz ) is a former Austrian alpine skier. The slalom specialist won a World Cup race and was in the 1989/90 season second in the slalom World Cup.

Career

Strobl began at the age of nine with ski racing. At the beginning of the 1980s, she was admitted to the junior squad of the Austrian Ski Federation. In the 1985/86 season she came into the world cup group and they drove in the World Cup several times into the top ten. Best result of the season was the fifth place in the slalom Piancavallo. The following winter she went in Val Zoldana first time on the podium. Rather disappointing, however, ran the next two seasons in which they came only once in the top ten.

In the season 1989/90 she succeeded but still the breakthrough at the top.
