Claudio Lolli

Claudio Lolli ( born March 28, 1950 in Bologna ) is an Italian singer-songwriter (Italian cantautore ).

Life

His work is closely connected to the left protest movement in Italy in the 70s. He became famous in 1972 with the LP " Aspettando Godot " ( "Waiting for Godot ", after the eponymous play ) and the single " Borghesia " ( " middle "), a satirical song about the petty-bourgeois morality. In the following five years he played a major role as a musical exponent of the protest movement of those years. The lyrics were, like many at the time, inspired by the existentialism of issues such as alienation, isolation, and non-conformism, but Claudio Lolli was one of the most politicized, in thinking quite cantautori also influenced Marxist and treated in his songs and people and events of contemporary history.
