Claudio Miranda

Claudio Miranda (born 1965 in Valparaíso, Chile ) is a Chilean cinematographer and Academy Award winner.

Life

Miranda garnered 1988 first experience as a lighting technician at the documentation U2: Rattle and Hum. These activities, he has also directed the films The Crow - The Crow, Crimson Tide - In the lowest risk, Seven, The Game and Fight Club from.

In 2001, he first worked as a cinematographer on the short film Tell Me Who Ruby What. With Failure to Launch, he photographed his first feature film, and thereafter by David Fincher, with whom he had worked a few times, committed for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. For his work on the film, he was nominated for an Oscar in the category of Best Cinematography, as well as a British Academy Film Award.

2010 was followed by the film Tron: Legacy. The film is the sequel to Steven Lisbergers Tron. In 2012, he was directed by Ang Lee in Life of Pi: Involved in Life of Pi, and received for this work with his second nomination his first Oscar.
