Clausius (crater)

Clausius is an impact crater on the western edge of the moon in front of the plane of the Lacus Excellentiae at its western edge. The crater shape is irregular and the crater rim only slightly eroded.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German physicist Rudolf Clausius.
