Clay Ives

Clay Ives ( born September 5, 1972 in Bancroft, Ontario ) is a Canadian- American luger.

Clay Ives approached at three Olympic Winter Games. The games of 1994 in Lillehammer, he started as well as in Nagano in 1998 for Canada. In 1994 he was in the doubles with Robert Gasper aft, in the single-seater he came on the 20th Place. Four years later, he was as owner of dual Canadian and U.S. citizenship Ives In 2000, the bandage around with Chris Thorpe to form a double in the 15th single-seater. For the Games in 2002 he won the bronze medal with his partner Thorpe.

Ives was in Canada starting place again and again in the points of the World Cup, but he achieved better results only as a partner of Thorpe. Best finish was a second place in Winterberg in 2002. Both reached the overall World Cup in 2000/ 01 and 2001/ 02 with the ninth best results. Even now at the World Championships, he scored his best rankings, best result was ninth place in 2001. The North America Championship 2001 Ives Thorpe won with the silver medal.
