Clayton Ince

Clayton Ince ( born July 12, 1972 in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago) is a former football player from Trinidad and Tobago. Ince 's goalkeeper and currently plays for FC Walsall in the English Football League Two. He is also on the national team of his home country, but is currently only substitute.

Club career

He began his professional career in the Defence Force FC from Trinidad. In summer 1999, he negotiated with several clubs in the English professional leagues. As a contract with the AFC Wrexham from Wales failed, he signed for Crewe Alexandra in the Football League One. There, however, he was merely substitute for Jason Kearton. Therefore, the club tried to get him from the autumn leave 2000. A loan to Dundee from Scotland but ended without use after only a month and also other teams did not find a suitable offer. In the summer of 2001, he was then still goalkeeper Crewe Alexandra, as Kearton left the club. After more than 200 appearances for Crewe Alexandra, he moved after his contract expires, the 2005/06 season in the English Football League Championship Coventry City, where he was but again only substitute. Before the start of season 2006/ 07 he moved to the fourth division FC Walsall. By the end of the 2009/10 season, he completed 152 games and eventually ended his career.

National

Ince was a regular goalkeeper in the selection of his country at the Junior World Cup in 1991 in Portugal. The team from the Caribbean but resigned after twelve goals conceded in three games in the preliminary round of the tournament.
