Clean Up the World

Clean Up the World is a global non-profit organization that was founded in 1993 by the founder of Clean Up Australia, Ian Kiernan, under the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The concept of Clean Up the World is from Clean Up Australia.

Clean Up the World organized a recurring annual " Clean Up " day of action, which takes place on the third weekend in September worldwide. Worldwide each year more than 35 million people participate in it in more than 120 countries.

The Clean Up the World initiative aims to motivate municipalities to waste disposal and pollution control in the public domain worldwide. For this purpose, Clean Up the World offers players a free partner membership in a global organization, which must be renewed from this year.

Clean -up players report to their annual activity, which may consist, for example, in projects on recycling and resource conservation, tree planting, school programs or water safety and water saving programs.
