Clelio Darida

Clelio Darida ( May 3, 1927 in Rome ) was an Italian lawyer and politician of the Christian Democracy (DC), who was among other things, Mayor of Rome, member of the Chamber of Deputies ( Camera dei deputati ) and several times minister.

Life

After schooling Darida studied law and was after graduation worked as a lawyer.

In 1969 he was elected as a candidate of the Christian Democracy for the Mayor of Rome, and thus to succeed his party colleague Rinaldo Santini.
