Clemens Kuby

Clemens Kuby ( born November 17, 1947 in Herrsching am Ammersee ) is a German documentary filmmaker and author.

Life and work

Kuby grew up in Upper Bavaria, the son of the journalist Erich Kuby. From 1963 to 1967 he attended the Odenwald School in Ober-Hambach. He then studied history, sociology, law and economics at the Free University in Berlin and attended from 1969 to 1972 the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin, where he completed a training course for film director.

Kuby turned 1973-1975 three films on organic farming. He was co-founder in 1979 of the Green Party in Baden- Württemberg. Following the establishment of the party as a national party in late 1980 he left them because of power struggles.

In 1981, after a fall from a window of 15 m height Kuby diagnosed with paraplegia. Within a year, went with him to a spontaneous cure, so he could walk again. Then he began to cinematically deal with topics such as Buddhism, spiritual healing and alternatives to " western materialism influenced life ".

In 2005, Clemens Kuby with his wife Astrid, the European Academy for self-healing processes ( SHP). It organizes training seminars, distributes books and offers telephone counseling.
