Clericalism

Clericalism (of clergy ) refers to the desire of the clergy of a religion to gain more influence in a state (as opposed to secularism ), or to give the desire of the clergy within a religion, compared to the lay more weight (as opposed to anti-clericalism ). In philosophy and political science clericalism also stands for the rule of the clergy or the priest.

Inner Church clerical and anticlerical movements now exist in most of the major Christian churches with cyclically varying overweight.

Quote

"I 'm going to (...) a staunch opponent church, when I confront a clericals. The clericalism should have nothing to do with Christianity. Paul, the first person who has spoken to the Gentiles, to the followers of other religions, was the first who taught it. "
