Clericus Cup

The Clerc Cup ( German clergy Cup ) is the football championship of the Vatican. In the inaugural competition in 2007, 16 teams compete against each other. Eligible to play is a player as a monk or novice Vatican a monastery, or a graduate of the school of priests seminar Vatican. There are slightly modified rules of the game: The game is two times 30 minutes. In addition to the yellow and red card there is a blue card for medium-heavy offense, which has a five-minute time penalty.

The game is played in four groups of four teams. Sunday matches are prohibited.

The final of the Le Clerc Cup will be held in the Olympic Stadium in Rome.

The seventh Clerc Cup was held until May 18, 2013, Rome on 23 February.
