Clerk

A clerk ( feminine form: clerk ) is a common, especially in Switzerland term for an employee who does simple clerical and administrative work such as filing work, file management, writing addresses in a commercial operation.

The job title is derived from the obsolete term office for office; a clerk is therefore a person who works in an office.
