Clermont Foot

Clermont Foot Auvergne is a French football club based in Clermont- Ferrand, the capital of central French department of Puy -de- Dôme in the Auvergne.

It was founded in 1911 as AS Clermont -Ferrand. This was the name of the club until 1984, then came the merger with Stade Clermontois and another local club under the new name Clermont FC. This had to file for bankruptcy in 1989; In 1990 the foundation is, until today Clermont Foot Auvergne. The club colors are red and blue; league team plays at the Stade Gabriel Montpied, which has a capacity of 10,607 seats.

Club president is Claude Michy; the first team is coached by Régis Brouard since June 2012. (August 2013)

League membership

Professional status of 1942-1946, 1986-1988, 2002-2006 and again since 2007 Clermont obsessed. First class (Division 1 since 2002 in Ligue 1 renamed) the club played only during the unofficial war championships 1942/43 and 1944 / 45th 2009/10 missed the Clermontois promotion to the top flight until the last game.
