Clerval (Doubs)

Clerval is a commune with 1051 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Doubs in the Franche -Comté.

Population

The municipality covers an area of 11.9 km ², the population density is 85 inhabitants per km ². The number of people living in Clerval has declined during the last 30 years on average. In the year 1975, there were about 1,200 people in the place, in 2005 there were only 1004 inhabitants.

Clerval has a station on the railway line Dole - Besançon - Belfort.
