Cleveland is a city in Bradley County in the U.S. state of Tennessee. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 37 192 in an area of 64.6 km ². The population density is 576 per km ². Cleveland is the county seat ( county seat ) of Bradley County.

According to the census of 2000, there were 37 192 people in Cleveland; it was counted 15,037 households, and 9,518 families. The population density was 576 inhabitants per km ². There 16,431 housing units were recorded. The racial the population was composed of 89.00 % White, 7.01 % African American, 0.23 % Native American, 0.97 % Asian, 0.03 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 1.29 % from other ethnic groups; 1.46 % said the lineage of several ethnicities. 2.87 % of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
