Cliff Eidelman

Glen Clifford " Cliff" Eidelman ( born December 5, 1964 in Los Angeles, California) is an American film composer and conductor. He wrote the music for films such as Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and Christopher Columbus - The Discovery.

Career

Eidelman began at the age of eight, playing the violin, and learned during his youth piano and guitar in jazz and in the classical field. After studying at Santa Monica College, University of Southern California, he wrote in 1988 his first film score for the film Magdelene. His breakthrough came at the age of 26 years in 1991 with his composition for the sixth Star Trek film. This movie music is one of the best - held soundtracks of Star Trek films - if not the best. Eidelman lives in Santa Monica, California.
