Clifton B. Beach

Clifton Bailey Beach ( born September 16, 1845 in Sharon Township, Medina County, Ohio, † November 15, 1902 in Rocky River, Ohio ) was an American politician of the Republican Party. March 4, 1895 to March 3, 1899 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 20th Congressional District of the State of Ohio.

Biography

On September 16, 1845 Clifton B. Beach was born in Sharon Township in Ohio. In 1857 he moved with his parents to Cleveland. He attended the local schools. He then studied law. The study he finished 1871. 1872 he was admitted to the bar. From then on he worked in Cleveland. From 1884 he was no longer working as a lawyer. Instead, he worked in the private sector.

In 1894 he was a representative of the 20th electoral district of Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives Washington, DC selected. There Beach represented the 20th electoral district a total of 2 legislatures. 1898 no longer nominated him the Republican Party, Fremont O. Phillips became his successor. Beach resumed activities in the private sector on before he died in Rocky River on November 15, 1902 at the age of 57 years. He was buried at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
