Clint Jones

Clinton " Clint " Jones ( born October 5, 1984 in Monroe, Wisconsin ) is a former American ski jumper.

Career

Clint Jones grew up in Steamboat Springs and was at the age of two years for the first time on skis. About his brother Robbie, he came as a five -year-old ski jumping and was in this discipline in 1999, the youngest U.S. champion in history .. On February 26, 2000 Jones started for the first time in the World Cup and missed a 32 his first points just barely. In late November 2001 he won the ninth place in Kuopio best World Cup result of his career.

On January 2, 2002 Jones won the Continental Cup competitions at Bergisel in Innsbruck. After the second place in the overall ranking of the Summer Grand Prix in 2002, Jones celebrated the end of September a double win at the Continental Cup in Park City.

In total he participated twice at the Olympic Winter Games. Neither in 2002 in Salt Lake City, in 2006 in Turin, he reached the second competitive round.

Along with Alan Alborn he made many years a two-man World Cup team until this 2007 ended his career. Since the U.S. Ski Association thereupon stopped the financial support to the team, also had to end his career Jones.

He is currently the head coach of the U.S. Ski Team.
