Clive Calder

Clive Calder ( born 1946 in Johannesburg, South Africa ) is a South Africans entrepreneur and music producer.

Life

Calder plays bass guitar from an early age and started playing in bands in Johannesburg. In 1971 he launched his first record company. In 1975 he moved his residence and moved to London. In 1977, he founded the company Zomba Label Group. It was followed by the founding of the company Jive Records. 1996 Calder sold 20 percent of its shares in the German company Bertelsmann, followed in 2001 by the remaining number of shares. According to the American Forbes Magazine Calder is one of the richest Britons. Calder is married, has two children and currently lives in the Cayman Islands.
