Clodoaldo

Clodoaldo Tavares de Santana ( born September 26, 1949 in Aracaju, Sergipe, Brazil ) is a former Brazilian footballer.

Clodoaldo was a central midfielder, who was considered a fast, light-footed and tricky. At club level, he played a total of 14 years for the Pele - club Santos FC and joined in the footsteps of the legendary Zito. Later, he played in the U.S. and finished his career in 1981.

Between 1969 and 1974 he completed 38 international matches ( three goals) and was with the Seleção 1970 world champion. Clodoaldo was a regular player, was in all the games on the pitch and scored in the semifinal against Uruguay the important 1:1 (final score 1:3). He played a total of a strong tournament and was one of the FIFA All -Star team.
