Clouange

Clouange is a commune with 3871 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Thionville -Ouest and the Canton Moyeuvre -Grande.

Geography

The community Clouange is located on the Orne, about 20 kilometers south-west of Thionville and 20 kilometers northwest of Metz at an altitude 164-327 m. The municipality covers 3.01 km ².

History

The municipality consists Clouange since April 1, 1907, before it was part of the municipality of Vitry -sur- Orne. 1907-18 she was wearing the Germanized name Kluingen, 1940-44 blades.
