Clout (band)
Clout was a pop group from South Africa. It was founded in 1977. She became famous by the song substitutes ( a cover version of the Righteous Brothers, the original from 1975 from the LP The Sons Of Mrs. Righteous, written by Willie H. Wilson), with whom she in most European countries, a Top Ten landed success and even reached number 1 in Germany. In New Zealand, Australia, France, Belgium, Netherlands and South Africa, the song also landed at No. 1 in 1981 broke up the band. Clout represented by a stylized bikini briefs, means rags, rags.
Occupation
Originally the band consisted of Cindy Age, Jenni Garson, Ingrid autumn, Glenda Millar (then Hyam ) and Lee Tomlinson. 1979 changed the occupation: the Top Ten success of Save Me singing four women and two men Bones Brettell and Sandy Robbie.
