Clown Spitzkopf Pufferfish ( Canthigaster calli terna )

The clown pointed nose puffer ( Canthigaster calli terna ), also called white band, pointed nose puffer is, with a maximum length of 23 centimeters is the second largest member of its genus. He lives in the southwest Pacific to Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, the Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island and the Kermadec Islands at a depth from 5 to 250 meters.

The fish have a light brown top and a white belly. A white, medium or dark brown fringed longitudinal ligament runs from the snout to tip of tail. Upper and lower edge of the caudal fin are dark to black. Everywhere patterns fine blue lines and dots the puffer fish.

The clown pointed nose puffer fish is still poorly understood.
