Club Almirante Brown

The Club Almirante Brown is an Argentine football club based in Buenos Aires. The club, founded in 1922 playing in the 2008 season in the Nacional B, the second division in Argentina's football.

History

The Club Almirante Brown was founded on 17 January 1922 as the Centro Atlético y Recreativo Almirante Brown. The club played in the Nacional B from 1986-87 to 1997-98, reaching in the season 1991/1992 season with a second place his best tabular result at all. In the play-offs but the team was beaten San Martin and to date has never played in the first division.

In May 2007, Almirante Brown won the Primera B Metropolitana Clausura, the third Argentine league, beating Club Atlético Estudiantes in the final, but since there were massive riots during game day, the club was on the rise with 18 penalty points for the Nacional B occupied.

Stadium

The Club Almirante Brown played at the Estadio Fragata Presidente Sarmiento, Buenos Aires, which provides space for 18,000 spectators.
