CMC International
CMC International was an American independent record label that was founded in 1991. 2007 ended its existence.
History
The label was founded in 1991 by Tom Lipsky and brought mainly bands and artists in the fields of Classic Rock and classic Heavy Metal forth, thereby directions like Hard Rock, Glam Metal and AOR grazing. This happened in a period when most other labels concentrated on grunge and alternative rock. 1995 began a partnership with BMG Entertainment. In 1999, BMG majority, Lipsky remained a minority stake.
2000, the label was a division of Sanctuary Records. Lipsky was President of Sanctuary Records North America. The existence of the label ended when the Universal Music Group acquired Sanctuary 2007.
Tom Lipsky became president of the department " Loud & Proud" by Roadrunner Records.
