CMSimple

CMSimple is a free content management system. CMSimple requires a web server with PHP support from version 4.3. A database is not required. All data is stored in a simple file system and based on the headings h1 - (- changed default setting) processed into individual pages h3. Because of this concept to CMSimple is for small and medium sites of not more than 1000 pages. It does not have a user management. For websites that are maintained by only one person, but it is applied in a very short learning curve.

CMSimple is listed in the software directory of the Heise publishing house.

History

CMSimple developed by Peter Harteg (Denmark) and published in 2003. The concept of the developer was to create a system without extensive training period: "simple - smart - small".

The end of CMSimple development was announced in 2009. On 31 December 2009 Peter Harteg has licensed the Software without restriction CMSimple under GPL3. Last small changes in 2012 and entered into the version 3.4.

Sale and a new beginning

Beginning of November 2012 Peter Harteg sold the project CMSimple Gert Ebersbach (Berlin). Since then CMSimple was again continuously developed and equipped with many new features, especially in the backend / admin area.

Cuttings and Forks

No longer wished to continue to develop after the announcement of Peter Harteg, CMSimple, the CMS was forked by a development team in 2009. This offshoot CMSimple is released under the name CMSimple_XH and is also licensed under the GPLv3.

In addition, the old version for the purpose of backward compatibility by Preben Björn Biermann Madsen Classic CMSimple is released under the GPLv3.
