The coat of arms of Georgia (Georgian საქართველოს გერბი ) are available in a large and a small version.
The current coat of arms, based on the medieval arms of the Georgian royal dynasty Bagratides were adopted on 1 October 2004 by 103 votes to three by the Parliament and dissolve from the coat of arms was introduced in 1990, which was St. George in a star.
Great State Coat of Arms
The large national coat of arms shows a red shield on which Georgia's patron saint, St. George is depicted as a silver tab with a golden halo. He subdues a silver dragon with a silver spear. Above the shield is the Georgian- Iberian crown. It is held by two golden lions. Under the shield is a stylized Weingarten, in a banner with the National Motto and two red crosses the flag of Georgia is braided:
Small National Coat of Arms
The small state emblem uses only the red shield and crown, renounces the lion, the vineyard and the motto ribbon.
