The coat of arms of Singapore consists of a shield, on a white crescent and lying about five white stars are arranged in a circle displayed on a red field. The color red symbolizes universal brotherhood and equality of man, the immortal white purity and virtue. The five white stars stand for Singapore's ideals: democracy, peace, progress, justice and equality.

Is held the sign, turn right ( heraldic ) by a lion and left by a tiger. The lion represents Singapore and the tiger the historical link with Malaysia. Under the shield is a blue banner bearing the motto Singapore: Majulah Singapura ( German: "Forward Singapore ").
