Coat of arms of the British Indian Ocean Territory

The coat of arms of the British Indian Ocean Territory is a blue sign with a sign foot of three silver waves over which a green palm tree stands in front of a golden crown hovering. The head of the shield shows the British flag. This includes the right Obereck breaking forth a yellow flamed sun. On the shield a silver crown ship from which a fünfzinniger red tower rests peaking with a high cross windows. The national flag on the tower on the left is blowing.

Supporters are erected turtles standing on a sea beach between small marine snails and mussels. The right has a brown, the other green carapace. A banner below the shield shows the motto "IN TUTELA NOSTRA LIMURIA ".
