Coat of arms of Zimbabwe

This is since September 21, 1981, the official coat of arms of Zimbabwe.

Description

The shield is green, occupied by a silver ruin, in a silver shield main seven blue wave piles. Coat of arms holders are two upright hersehende kudu on a common piece of Savannah, this bottom center staffed with a cotton plant, a perennial clump of mature cotton and a corn plant with piston; behind the shield crossed a hoe and an AK- 47 assault rifle; all natural color. At helmet place a golden bead of a green and silver ribbon wound, above a red five-pointed star, topped with a golden, heraldic right after seeing horst end gallinaceous bird on a golden and black battlement (?). Under the shield on silver band black motto " Unity, Freedom, Work" ( "Unity, Freedom, Work" ).

Explanations

The head of the shield symbolizes the Victoria Falls, the ruins of the old Zimbabwean megalithic culture. The bird goes on a discovered in the ruins of the old Zimbabwe figure back, reminiscent of the large form of cliffs or rock chicken and is the emblem of the Republic.
